September 2007  Events

On September 15, we held our   First Annual Art w. Iftar & Canned Food Drive

Sisters from near and far broke their fast with us and enjoyed a relaxing evening with the Ladies of Gamma Gamma Chi. We  asked all sisters that attended to participate in the Empty Bowl project, which required an $8 donation. We  painted soup bowls that, along with the non-perishable food items we collected, were donated as sadaqah to the Food Bank of South Jersey. The Food Bank then  sold these bowls to raise funds to assist them in their efforts to fill the “empty bowls” of the hungry in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Salem Counties.

November 2007

The  Epsilon Chapter held  its  first Gold Presentation on November 18th. Prospective member gained information about our Beeloved sorority and were also able to meet one of our co-founders Dr. Althia Ali.

The Gold Presenation is the second step in the Gamma Gamma Chi membership
intake process. The purpose of the Gold Presentation is to present information about the
sorority, to answer all questions that prospective members have about the sorority and
the application process, and to get to know each other better in a social environment
during a reception. Attendance at a Gold Presentation is a required for consideration for
membership, and it does not commit either the sorority or the attendee for membership.
